Quench the thirst which dries the heart, for you are the underlying current in all circumstances and situations; pulling, drawing, twisting, and turning only to unite in order to manifest the many expressions of existence, consciousness and ecstasy.

United for the Preservation of Womanhood
Gurani Anjali founded the evolving women’s auxiliary group of Yoga Anand Ashram in July 197. Shakti Sangam* which was later named United for the Preservation of Womanhood and then the International Conscious Women’s Society (ICWS). Through the years she maintained her vision of unity in supporting the dignity of womanhood.
Many experienced a new found appreciation of womanhood and a recognition of that underlying current which binds us all together. It is a vision that includes the necessity of offering this possibility to others searching for meaning and purpose in their lives. Through her strength, dedication and example, many have been infused with the desire to share her vision of womanhood with any and all who wish to join together.
UPW sponsored many event for adults and children throughout the years.

The Purpose of U.P.W. is Threefold:
- To unite all women of all cultures with the hope that through working and studying together she will discover the underlying current, which lies dormant; in Tantra it is known as Strength, Power, Force, Divine Energy, Kundalini Shakti. Woman is that manifested. Some know it and some don’t . . . . . . Do you?
- To aid the Ashram financially thus being a constructive instrument in the furtherance of its goals.
- To aid the children of the world contributing anywhere and whenever it becomes necessary, mentally, physically or spiritually.
Thus answering to the call of Mother in all women.
