There have been many classifications of temperaments [tendencies towards a category of mood]. You should judge for yourself the type of person you are, and if you are studying at this Ashram you are very fortunate because you will be guided as you evolve into higher consciousness. You should have confidence and faith in your teacher who has dedicated his/her life to help all those who are seeking the reality of life. Listed below are the [general] dispositions.
Pashu Bhava – (animalistic moods or disposition)
Individuals bound by delusion, disgust, ignorance, pity, shame, cultural and geographic customs, prejudices, physical and emotional slothfulness. There is a lot more on this subject and if you stay long enough at the Ashram you will come to know more.
Vira Bhava – (courageous and heroic disposition)
Works independently producing good acts, lessening sorrows for him/herself and others in the world and is ever mindful of God and his/her spiritual Guru/Gurani. There is a lot more on this subject and if you stay long enough at the Ashram you will come to know more.
Divya Bhava – (Godly disposition)
Tremendous faith in the Scriptures, God and Guru/Gurani. Does his/her daily worship and sadhana (spiritual practice), is truthful, avoids deceitful company and wrongdoers, bathes daily and wears clean clothes. There is a lot more on this subject and if you stay long enough at the Ashram you will come to know more.
Have faith in your teacher and you will live a healthy and happy life, looking forward to your next circumstance with joyful expectations. Make this Ashram your home and you will live in peace doing yoga. If you know the disposition you fit into and you want to correct your eating habits, contact your teacher on this matter.
