The Facilities and Maintenance Department was responsible for overseeing the physical requirements of all Ashram structures such as the restaurant and buildings at 42, 152 & 154 Merrick Rd, as well as the Director’s residence, by cleaning, painting, making structural repairs, overseeing and/or conducting new constructions and providing general maintenance.
Members with skill in any of the following areas, or who were willing to learn or desired to help out, were encouraged to participate in the Facilities and Maintenance Department: plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, appliance and electronic repair, automotive repair and general maintenance.
